Running the Permissions Audit Report

Authorization, system, and support administrators can run the Permissions Audit Report in Report Gateway to view user, security role, or report audit information.

User Audit Report

The User Audit report is grouped by user ID in alphabetical order. Within each user ID, the changes are listed from oldest to newest. The report lists the following information about each change:

         User ID of the person who made the change

         Date and Time the change was made

         Type of change:

Added—The user was added to Report Gateway.

Modified—The admin status was changed for the user, or a security role was added or removed.

Deleted—The user was deleted from Report Gateway.

         Description of the change

Role Audit Report

The Role Audit report is grouped by security role ID in alphabetical order. Within each role ID, the changes are listed from oldest to newest. The report lists the following information about each change:

         User ID of the person who made the change

         Date and Time the change was made

         Type of change:

Added—The role was added to Report Gateway.

Modified—A report group was added or removed from the role.

Deleted—The role was deleted from Report Gateway.

Report Audit Report

The Report Audit report is grouped by report ID in alphabetical order. Within each report ID, the changes are listed from oldest to newest. The report lists the following information about each change:

         User ID of the person who made the change

         Date and Time the change was made

         Type of change:

Added—The report was added to Report Gateway.

Modified—A data source was added or removed from the report, or a parameter was changed.

Deleted—The report was deleted from Report Gateway.

Running an Audit Report

To run a permissions audit report, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Admin Settings > Users and click Permissions Audit Report. The report viewer appears.

2.         If you are a system administrator, select the client under which you want to run the report. Otherwise your own client ID is used.

3.         In the Table to Audit drop-down field, select the type of audit report you want to generate: User, Role, or Report.

4.         Enter the Start Date and End Date for the report.

a.       Custom—Allows entry of any date.

b.       Yesterday—Selects yesterday's date.

c.       Today—Selects today's date.

d.       Tomorrow—Selects tomorrow's date.

e.       First of Month—Selects the first day of the current month.

f.        Last of Month—Selects the last day of the current month.

5.         Click Run Report. The report displays inside the right panel of the page.
